Caring For Your Funnel-Board®
- To reduce slippage on the counter, place a damp paper towel on the counter, then place Funnel-Board® on the damp paper towel.
- If Funnel-Board® becomes warped after continuous use and excessive dishwasher cycles, preheat the oven to 160F, and place Funnel-Board® on the rack for 5 minutes. Do not stack or place on top of each other. Be careful when reaching into a hot oven. Remove Funnel-Boards® with an oven mitt.
Cleaning Funnel-Board®
We recommend cleaning Funnel-Board® as you would any other cutting board, with hot soapy water and then drying. You can also use vinegar and baking soda for a more thorough cleaning, rinse thoroughly.
You may sanitize Funnel-Board® using 1 Tbsp of bleach with 16oz of water in a spray bottle, then rinse with hot water.
Do not stack Funnel-Boards® on top of, or next to, each other, and make sure there is a small space between them if using a dishwasher.
Mounting Funnel-Board® Holder
-
1.
Make sure the mounting surface is clean and dry, typically inside a cabinet door or side of a refrigerator.
-
2.
Remove Funnel-Boards® from Holder and apply the included double-sided tape to the 4 corners on the backside of Holder within the marked areas.
-
3.
Pick the location for Funnel-Board® Holder. If inside a cabinet door, make sure the cabinet opening is at least 12 ½ inches wide.
-
4.
Survey desired Holder location for fit prior to removing the remaining tape backing. Be sure the cabinet door will close once mounted. A tape measure may be handy. Notches on the connecting section of Holder mark the center of Holder.
-
5.
Remove the backing outer layer from the tape applied to Holder and gently place Holder in the desired location. Again, make sure the cabinet door will close after mounting before applying firm pressure. (Note: some cabinet doors may be too small for mounting).
-
6.
Once in position, press firmly and hold for 20-30 seconds on each tape location. The double-sided tape is pressure-sensitive and will stick firmly once pressure is applied.
To remove Funnel-Board® Holder: Use care to prevent damage to the cabinet finish. Carefully and gently pull and pry Holder to remove. Working 1 corner at a time may help.
Do not use a sharp knife or sharp object. You may remount Holder in a new location simply by applying pressure in the tape locations again.
